MS Reddy Lions Eye Hospital is promoted and managed by Lions club of Hyderabad Meerpet charitable Trust. Lions club of Hyderabad Meerpet is one among those which has successfully travelled 25 years of torrid journey, but all these years, it lived up to the sole motto of Lions International "We Serve" and providing service to the poor and needy in ‘Vision’, a primary global cause of Lions international. The Lions club of Hyderabad Meerpet was chartered on 18.01.1993.
The charter team with a profound desire to serve the community, has floated a trust “Lions club of Hyderabad-Meerpet charitable trust” in the year 1998 vide Regd. No 61899 dated 17.08.1998 and M.S. Reddy Lions eye hospital was born in 1998 and hospital OPD and OT services have begun in 2001 and 2003 respectively.
As said above, the operation theatre was inaugurated on 4th July, 2003 with due affiliation with the reputed LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. Their help from commissioning to operating stage has helped us to be on the right path from day one. We are thankful to Dr. G N Rao, the Chairman of LV Prasad Eye Institute for their technical & administrative guidance from the beginning parboiling “friend philosopher and guide”.
To support the above, we have 5 doctors, 10 ophthalmic & vision technicians, 7 paramedical staff and over 45 supporting staff rendering quality service on par with a corporate establishment at affordable prices in paying segment.

To provide quality eye care to all sections of people of the society and improve its quality of life. As a centre for Ophthalmology, diagnose and treat all eye diseases, perform eye surgeries and prescribe and fit eye glasses and cataract lenses to correct vision problems at affordable prices with dedicated team to achieve 40% of the prevention of blindness in the area of 150 km radius around our base hospital.
