A Platform for Philanthropic Service

Lions Clubs International is the largest service organization in the world. It has a staggering record of conducting over 25% of the Cataract Surgeries done globally. Thus ‘Lions‘ have become synonymous with Eye Care.

M.S. Reddy Lions Eye Hospital having commenced operations in 2001, has 23 years of eye care service record, yearns to extend its reach to increase number of patients suffering from the nexus of eye diseases. It’s a good platform for the philanthropic citizens and all the organizations to associate with us to serve the noble cause of preventing avoidable blindness to the community at large.

Our team understands the eye problems of the patients suffering from and find appropriate treatment. We have experienced surgical team of doctors to carry out patients assessment before procedures, empathy, coordination and ability to work well with hand and medical equipment which are our strengths.

About Us

31 Years of Torrid Journey

Living up to the sole motto of Lions International "We Serve".

MS Reddy Lions Eye Hospital is promoted and managed by Lions club of Hyderabad Meerpet charitable Trust. The Lions club was chartered on 18.01.1993, providing service to the poor and needy in 'Vision', a primary global cause.

The trust was floated in 1998 (Regd. No 61899). Hospital OPD and OT services began in 2001 and 2003 respectively. The operation theatre was inaugurated on 4th July, 2003 with due affiliation with the reputed LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. We are thankful to Dr. G N Rao, Chairman of LVPEI, for their technical & administrative guidance.

Serving areas: Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal Malkajgiri, Suryapet, Yadadri Bhongir, Jangaon, Vikarabad, and touching the most unreachable locations.

To provide quality eye care to all sections of society, diagnose/treat diseases, perform surgeries, and prescribe glasses at affordable prices. Dedicated to achieve 40% prevention of blindness in a 150 km radius.

Our Specialties

Comprehensive Ophthalmic Services

Serving >30 surgeries and about 200 outpatients per day with 3 modern operation theatres (including Modular OT).

Cataract

Treating the leading cause of blindness. Offering Phacoemulsification, MICS with quality lenses (Foldable/Multifocal). Yag Laser available.

Medical Glaucoma

Evaluation using GAT, Gonioscopy, Humphrey’s visual field Analyser, Yag laser. Trabeculoplasty and combined surgeries performed.

Medical Retina

Equipped with B-Scan, fundus camera, FFA, Green Laser. Intravitreal Anti-VEGF Injections available for complex retinal diseases.

Oculoplasty

Treatment of Refractive errors, Cornea, Uvea, Infections, Trauma. Surgeries include Pterygium, Chalazion, Lid repair, DCT.

Community Impact

Reaching the Unreached

In the last 23 years, the eye care team has reached neighboring Districts of Telangana State, saving thousands from the under-privileged segment. We partner with local Lions Clubs and NGOs.

Eye Screening Camps

Refraction tests, glasses at affordable prices. Underprivileged patients receive free accommodation, food, surgery, and medication.

Sight for Kids (SFK)

Screened 2,82,533 students from 2801 Government Schools over 18 phases. 3107 referred to base hospital.

Vision Centres

Centres at Pudur, Jangaon, Saroornagar, Thurkapalli, Moula-Ali HB Colony. Completed 2590 surgeries through HelpAge India sponsors (till 2019).
